I’ve been struggling recently with my plan to declutter. Although I do love greenmetropolis<\/a>\u00a0in principle, once the decision had been made about which books I was happy to do without I found myself wanting to reclaim the space, rather than wait for the books to sell. A few people I know suggested a boot fair, but I felt I valued my time too much to spend half a day, not to mention the effort involved, with no guarantee that I would shift anything.<\/p>\n

In the end I took them to a charity shop. Since I’d already disowned the books in my heart I didn’t lament giving them away, and they will do more good there than they would taking up space in my house, waiting for my inner miser to rub his hands with glee.<\/p>\n
