out of my mind

im shouting in a cave
    you only hear a distant echo
you barely see me move
    but im dancing in the dark
its cold here almost freezing
    though to you the air is mellow
i try to light a fire
    you dont even see a spark

im falling deeper every day
  why cant anybody find me

im drowning in the sea
    the water thudding all around me
the waves foam far above
  and below
    the ocean floor
still waters run the deepest
    though to you this sea is shallow
you cannot see me dying
    cause youre standing on the shore

im sinking deeper every day

    im floating in deep space
im trying to send a signal
